There is one, very important, member of our farm that I have failed to mention. That individual is, quite literally, half our goat herd. He is happy to work very diligently for us every year. Our hours are good though, we only require him to work during the month of October. This wonderful gentleman is our herdsire, Forrest-Pride Gud Char.
I composed a beautiful "Ode to Char", but RandomGal threatened to disown me if I sang it here. [I can't carry a tune in a bucket ;) (sigh)] and I need RandomGal to support me in my second childhood, so financial considerations require that I refrain from sharing that great classic with you.
We are very proud of Char. He has an amazing pedigree, was on the ADGA 2009 Young Sire Development List, has a sweet temperament, and throws Grand Champion Daughters. Here are a few pictures of the Unsung (thanks to RandomGal) Hero of our farm:

And, here are two of Char's sons. The Fancy Black and White boy, Last Centurion, has moved to Oklahoma. The Blonde Elvis, Skipper, is our Jr. Herdsire. I really liked Centurion, but we have many many of his Sisters (Grand Champion and otherwise) in our herd, so Centurion packed his bags and hit the road south:

We do have one buck, scheduled to move to Arkansas, who is not related to Char. This is Taela's Legend. He is gorgeous, and we planned to keep him until we started having difficulty procuring hay to feed our goats. He is a wonderful buck with Celtic Knot in his pedigree. I really wish we could have kept this boy:
